well, it seems as if mr trent quickly got over his original dissapointments in the “pay what you want” model of music distribution, eh? then again, the fact that he made $750,000 from the limited editons of “ghosts” in a single day probably helped ease his pain
. as a virtual buy back of sorts, he posted his new record “the slip” for free late last night.
love trent’s lil comment on nin.com … “thank you for your continued and loyal support over the years - this one’s on me”
good stuff, this.

this was my third (?) time seeing film school and i swear that they keep getting better and better and better every time. badass show. definitely check ‘em out when they roll thru your town. (especially if you like the delicious sounds of MBV but don’t want to spend $200+ to see them!)
my photos of Film School from Mercury Lounge, NYC

yet again fighting a grumpy computer to bring you these shots…but hmmm perhaps it was worth it?
my Meat Beat Manifesto Photos from Highline Ballroom, NYC.

took me a week to get these up since i was fighting off some evil flu… but, hey, better late than never, right?
the boys rocked it as always…i was silly impressed at the whole show, really. ( the live version of monolith was especially \w/ )
if you haven’t listened to them before do it. do it now.
now, on with the purty peeektures! Hopewell @ Cakeshop photos.

A festival with both the all-mighty My Bloody Valentine *and* Mogwai?!?!? HELL.YES.
the negative? “The ticket price is $225 + booking fee” OOF!
