Finally catching up on some photos from CMJ. First up, a few shots of Domino Record’s latest signing Chief. Unfortunately I ended up stuck in a cab for the majority of Chief’s set but I did manage to shoot for a song and a half at the end. I even managed to shoot off a few experimental shots on kodak t-max 3200 iso B&W film as well. I honestly don’t know much about Chief but they’re not exactly what you would expect of a Domino band. During the show I described their sound as ‘mature’ (in a good way) and further likened them to KOL (also in a good way) I might end up taking that comparison back but in the meantime it’ll do…hmmm! Anywho, check out their myspace page and come up with your own damn opinion.
