well, it seems as if mr trent quickly got over his original dissapointments in the “pay what you want” model of music distribution, eh? then again, the fact that he made $750,000 from the limited editons of “ghosts” in a single day probably helped ease his pain . as a virtual buy back of sorts, he posted his new record “the slip” for free late last night.

this was my third (?) time seeing film school and i swear that they keep getting better and better and better every time. badass show. definitely check ‘em out when they roll thru your town. (especially if you like the delicious sounds of MBV but don’t want to spend $200+ to see them!)

Tim was one of my many record store / DJ / Club friends from the boston days. i’d run into him here and there, smile, babble about music, and inevitably i’d walk away thinking ‘Fffffffffff that guy knows his shit!’. There aren’t many people out there that can show me up musically, but Tim did on a regular basis and I loved every minute of it.

again, i’m not good at these things (obviously) so i think that i’ll let mr. teep take it from here. RIP Tim, i’ll miss our random chats … see you at the big record show in the sky …

If you aren’t as geeky as myself (highly probable) you probably missed the fact that, after manymany missteps, one of the best and most influential graphic novels of all time, ‘The Watchmen‘ is very close to finding its way to the big screen. Hizah! Helmed by Zach Snyder of 300 fame we shouldddddd see it in theatres by this time next year (as long as those f*cks at fox don’t get their way.)
